The primary mission of the Dickinson College Library is to support the academic needs of current students, faculty, and staff of Dickinson College. Alumni are welcome to use much of the collection and will have access to a variety of services during public building hours.

Registration & Borrowing Privileges

To borrow from the Waidner-Spahr Library, Dickinson alumni must register at the main circulation desk for annual borrowing privileges. A library staff supervisor will assist you. Alumni should bring their Dickinson College ID (obtained from the college's ID office).

The loan period for print items (books, scores, and government documents) is 28 days with the options to renew. Alumni are permitted to have a total of 10 items out simultaneously.

For alumni, the loan period for media items (CDs, DVDs, and Video Tapes) is 1 item at a time for 1 week.

Visit our guide to Resources for Alumni & Visitors for more information about access to online resources (databases, ebooks, and e-journals).
